Ne-Yo Gives Advice on Being a Gentlemen
by YaDig Staff on Mar.06, 2009, under Entertainment

Ne-Yo posted a blog on Globalgrind.com about how to treat a lady and here it goes.
A IS FOR APPRECIATE
A woman wants to know she is appreciated, that what she does for you is appreciated. I don’t mean washing your clothes or cooking your meals. I mean the fact that she went and got her hair done, so you can look at her and say, “Ooh, damn!” The fact that she squeezed herself into that outfit that is probably very uncomfortable so you can say, “Damn, she looks good in that!”
LIPS, TONGUE & MOUTH
Women like to talk and when they do, they like to know that you are listening. For example, say your girlfriend wears a certain kind of perfume. She always wears this perfume — nothing else. One day you surprise her with that bottle of perfume when she runs out without asking her what kind it is or where to get it, you are the man! Talking to her friends like, “Oh, he came and he had the perfume and oh!” That shows her that she is not only there to have sex with every now and then. That will make you the man for at least three weeks. Trust me.
THE SINFUL SLOTH
Women like men who, every now and then, go out of their way and do something for them that they are not expecting — something that requires some effort or some doing. Anybody can order some flowers. That takes no effort — you order some flowers and they just show up and you take the credit. However, it takes some doing to go to that Build-A-Bear place and do the voice activation thing and making that bear tell a little inside joke that only you and her know about it.
SEXY LOVE
Listen — when she says keep it right there, keep it right there. Appreciate if she’s doing you a favorite (you know what I mean, but let’s keep it PG-13), let her know that you’re enjoying it. Don’t be lazy — try a position that ain’t exactly your favorite, but you know she loves. And when your giving a massage, put the bone on break.
What do yall think???

T-Pain Cancels Show After Death Threats

T-Pain cancelled his concert in Guyana tonight after he received death and kidnapping threats. The show’s promoter, Kerwin Boolers, says that the show was called off after email and phone from an unidentified source were “credible death and kidnapping threats.” Police Commander Leroy Bollers reported Sunday that authorities will investigate. If not for threats, T-Pain would have headlined one of Guyana’s biggest concerts. In related news, a new song from T-Pain recently hit the net titled “Flight School”. The new track also features Kanye West.
Camron Talks New Album & Film
In a new video, Cam’ron is talking about his upcoming album “Crime Pays” and an accomplanying film. “What’s going on everybody,” Killa says in a video. “Y’all been looking for me and here I am. Just a brief breakdown real quick. The album Crime Pays comes out May 5th on Asylum/Diplomat Records, you know it’s gonna be a good look. Thank you for all the support on ‘I Hate My Job,’ it wasn’t my single or nothin’, just something I threw out there but thank you for the support…Also, we have the movie for Crime Pays coming out this July. Make sure y’all go pick that up later on…I’m gonna be shooting videos from now until the album comes out. I’m gonna put out a video every two weeks.”
Previously, Cam talked about where the album got the title saying “It’s called Crime Pays because I feel that I am the living story of crime pays. The CD has 80 minutes on it so you know a lot of times people don’t really know that they put 12, 13, 14 songs and there is still 30 minutes left…So I’m trying to just fill it all the way up, being that I haven’t been out in so long…Nothing major as far as appearances are concerned.”
Game Doesn’t Retire, Plans 4th Album
The Game isn’t done with music apparently. Although Game said he was retiring, during a recent concert in Los Angeles Game announced he is working on his forth album. “I’m not gonna lie, I’m in the studio working on my fourth album” Game Says Game then talks about what he’s been doing and even talks about the 50 Cent and Rick Ross beef saying “I’ve been in the f*cking house trying to stay the f*ck outta trouble, get my probation right. I even grew out a f*cking beard like Rick Ross. Did I say Rick Ross? I’m sorry 50, I didn’t mean that. I didn’t mean to say Rick Ross. I don’t wanna say Rick Ross, 50 might get mad at me”
Previously The Game commented on the beef between Rick Ross and 50 Cent saying “For the first time in four years, man, I’m kinda low key riding with 50 on this one. I’m siding with this dude homie. It’s crazy, I don’t know what’s gonna come of it but yo, Ross, call me on my phone man…Call me on three-way so I can get you outta this mess, man…[50] took his baby mama shopping. She’s trying on fur coats with the Stevie Wonder jamming…Eh, Rick Ross, man, holla at your boy! 50 eating you boy!”
Officer Ricky Arrests T.I. & Akon’s Suge Beater
50 Cent’s animated series “Officer Ricky” continues, this time with episode 4 “Welcome To Death Row” The new video continues to combine artists that are in legal trouble with Rick Ross as a police officer. “Officer Ricky” is shown dreaming about T.I. then later arresting TIP infront of trunk of weapons. TIP is then shown in the police station crying as he tries to explain what happened.
Officer Ricky then goes to a club where Suge Knight is shown next to Akon. After Akon says “dont even look at me wrong” he is replaced by a character with a head of Robert Carnes, the man from Akon’s camp who allegedly knocked Suge out last week. The character punches Suge and Officer Ricky comes in to arrest him. Ricky puts the Akon entourage member in jail next to Chris Brown, who was featured in the last episode of Officer Ricky.
Rick Ross Says He Will Outsell 50 Cent
Rick Ross now says that he will outsell 50 Cent. “If he sold ten, my next album should sell twelve” ] Ricky said in a recent interview. As far as his recent beef and diss records toward 50, Ross says “That’s for sport.” When asked if his underground records will outshine his album, Ricky said “My freestyles as you could hear them, ‘Kiss My Pinky Ring,’ I do them in 20 minutes and put them out there. Those crumble empires. People listening to how potent the music is. That’s all this really is for me. I’m not really excited yet. All this is a platform for me to show people how talented I am.”
In related news, songs from Rick Ross upcoming album “Deeper Than Rap” have recently hit the net. Today “Shittin On Them” leaked and it features Busta Rhymes and Birdman. Other tracks from the album include “Believe It” and “On Top Of The World” featuring Avery Storm. “Deeper Than Rap” will feature Nas, Mary J. Blige and Lil Wayne.
Ne-Yo Talks To Rihanna About Altercation
Ne-Yo says he didn’t want to find out the details from anyone besides Rihanna and Chris Brown. “I wanted to talk to them before I made a comment. I spoke to Rihanna. She says she’s fine. She didn’t go into detail about what happened. I understand it’s a painful situation; I didn’t push.” [watch here]
Like everyone else, Ne-Yo says he was grief-stricken after seeing the leaked photo of Rihanna after the alleged altercation saying “I saw the picture. That just really — that hurt me to my heart, man” Ne-Yo told MTV, “to take it to that level really hurt my heart. All I can say is, I’m praying for both of them. They’re both in my prayers.”
When it comes to Chris Brown, Ne-Yo says he wants to sit down with him “I haven’t had a chance to talk to Chris yet. I just wanna sit down and talk to that dude and just explain if he doesn’t understand: ‘That’s not something that’s excusable, bruh. You have to get a little smarter about whatever it is going on in your relationship. You have to get a little smarter about how you handle certain situations.’ “

Cash Money Throwing Grammy Party for Lil Wayne
When your label’s biggest star is up for eight Grammy Awards including the album of the year, I guess it calls for a special celebration. Cash Money Records has announced that it will throw its first annual Pre-Grammy Party in honor of Lil Wayne on Saturday night, February 7th, at 8 p.m. at the Montage Beverly Hills.
Rick Ross Responds to 50 Cent
Miami-based rapper Rick Ross isn’t waving the white flag after 50 Cent released an online video interview with the mother of Ross’s 2-year-old son, William Roberts III. In the interview, Tia Kemp call Ross out for renting his jewelry, leasing his cars, and drawing out a child support battle for over two years. Later in the clip, 50 Cent takes Kemp and a friend shopping. Kemp is allegedly working on a tell-all book about her life with Ross.
“You gotta understand, she has never made more than $300 a week in her life. Would I stand between her making a few dollars with this monkey? Of course not, go up there, accomplish whatever you feel you need to accomplish, he’s never hurt a f***ing bird, a fly. I’m pretty sure you’ll be surrounded by cops. He’s an informant. Just as a reminder, he doesn’t count in the South.”
“We not gonna let Curly distract us from the fact ‘Mafia Music’ ended his career. The man has not charted a Number One record in Lord knows how long.” Ross added, “He makes Dr. Dre look like a ****. I got Cool and Dre. Eminem is a genius. The worst move he could’ve done is be affiliated with such a monkey. 50 Cent is a parody of hip-hop. I’m speaking from the streets.”

Justin Talks About Dancing With Beyonce
Justin Timberlake says removing his bathrobe is all it took to convinced Beyonce to let him do the spoof of her “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” music video on SNL last fall. In an interview on Katie Couric’s pre-Grammy special on CBS, Timberlake says Beyonce wasn’t convinced that he’d be able to pull off dancing in a skimpy costume and high heels. So he stopped by her dressing room and took off his bathrobe, leaving him in just a leotard and a pair of pumps. According to Timberlake, Beyonce was completely caught off guard and said, “I can’t look anywhere but your face right now.” Timberlake also talks about his mother’s reaction to his raunchy “D–k in a Box” spoof, costarring Andy Samberg. He says, “You gotta meet my mom. She’s a pretty edgy chick!” Timberlake says when it come to acting, he just tries to have fun, explaining, “I have a day job, so [acting] becomes a hobby that I can really plunge into with full creative eagerness.”

Is Joaquin Phoenix Rapping Career a Hoax? Lets Hope So

Joaquin Phoenix’s puzzling career switch from actor to rapper may just be an elaborate hoax. A source toldEW.com’s Hollywood Insider blog that Phoenix’s brother-in-law Casey Affleck hatched the scheme and is filming his media appearances and performances for a documentary that pokes fun at pompous actors and the media.
A source who allegedly recently worked with Phoenix is quoted as saying, “(Phoenix) said, ‘It’s a put-on. I’m going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it.’ The source added, “It’s an art project for him. He’s going full out. He probably has told his reps that he’s quit acting. Joaquin is very smart. This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control.”

Short Dig- Kanye on 50/Jim Jones on Ne-Yo/Jay-Z on Blueprint 3/Federline on DWTS?
by YaDig Staff on Jan.23, 2009, under Entertainment, Ya Joking

Anybody else wondering how many books is Kanye standing on?
Rapper 50 Cent has been taking shots at Kanye West since before their infamous Soundscan showdown of 2007 which resulted in West’s Graduation selling 957,000 copies its first week in stores to beat 50 Cent’s Curtis, which moved 691,000 copies. More recently, 50 Cent has made fun of West’s “Love Lockdown” during performances and has questioned the rapper’s sexuality on mix tape songs such as “Play This On The Radio.”
Kanye told Bossip.com
He was my favorite rapper since Mase when he dropped, and when I used to be around him, he was one of the few people that I was like really fan of. I was nervous in the studio working on beats and hoping that I could do a good beat for him. This is even when I had College Dropout and Jesus Walks. Jay Z and 50 are just two of those type of guys you really want to make some good music for. So, for me as a fan of him I felt like if he said something negative and tried to make it like I’m negative it’s almost like if a little kid walks up to you at the airport and is like, ‘Man, I love you so much,” and then you spit on him it’s like (in a joking voice) “I don’t know if I love you as much as I used to,” as you wipe the spit off your face, but you still play their music.

by YaDig Staff on Jan.19, 2009, under Entertainment, Ya Joking, Ya Seen on the Scene

And I thought there would be no violence this weekend over the “Notorious” weekend.
Violence marred an afterparty for the recent release of the Biggie biopic, “Notorious,” leaving four men stabbed in a New York City nightclub.
According to the Associated Press, a party advertised as the afterparty for the film premiere, left a 21-year-old man in critical condition after being stabbed numerous time, while three others were stable.
The stabbing took place at the Djumbala club is in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn on Saturday (January 17).
At press time, what sparked the incident is unknown, and police would not release any further information.
While the party had been promoted as the “official” afterparty, “Notorious” distributor, Fox Searchlight, said it was not related.

Ya Think? Ne-Yo Has Suggestions for Haters

Ne-Yo Has Choice Words for the Haters, and Gossipers
So I am working my way around the web and I see on Necolebitchie.com that Ne-Yo blogged about all the rumors about him:
One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all cost, but right about now I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute. The haters especially.
Pardon my french, but what the f*ck is wrong with y’all!?! Are you so desperate for an R&B bad guy that you gotta find a way to create one in me??
Okay, the comment about light skinned babies…….an obvious joke, maybe not a good joke, but clearly a joke.Y’all REALLY took that serious!?!I understand that a hater’s job is to hate, clearly. But it’s when people start feeding in to what a hater is saying that something must be addressed.
The whole gay thing..For goodness sake it’s been 4 years!!!! Y’all still on that huh?
The whole “boys” song, and the song “go over there”. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women. Had you been patient, you would have heard them the way they were supposed to be heard, with the voice of the intended artist on em’. But noooo, someone gets a hold of these demos and suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women. Riiight. I tell People Magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that once I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib nakedwhen, NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.
I mean come on people. Is this really what you’re gonna spend time on??
Will you not be satisfied until I truly become this a-shole you so desperately want me to look like?? Here’s my stand on the whole thing:
I’m NOT gay, I’m NOT prejudice to anyone, I DID NOT get stomped out by Jim Jones or anyone else, I’m NOT engaged, I’M NOT STUPID.
And to anyone that INSISTS on thinking that any of these things are true……F*CK YOU.
To the haters….find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change.
To everyone else……I love you to death, thanx for all your support.WE PLATINUM ROUND HERE!!!!!
Much love, and see you at the grammy’s.
Check the suit…..it’s gonna be TROUBLE!!!
Its about time he said something about this. I know he thinks that he shouldnt have to but damn there is only so much an artist can take before they stop doing interviews all together.
But Ne-Yo must remember that you haven’t made it in this here RnB game unless you are thought to be gay. Name one RnB artist that at one time they weren’t thought to be gay. And also never tell jokes in print interviews you never know how its going to look on paper.

Jim Jones Charged!!!
by YaDig Staff on Jan.06, 2009, under Entertainment

So yesterday I talked about Jim Jones going to talk to the NYPD about the alleged assault at the Louis Vuitton store on Manhattan’s Fifth Ave. Well I guess what he told them was what they wanted to hear cause Ole’ Jimmy got charged with misdemeanor assault and is due back in court on February 4th. Jones was released without bail.
Jones and/or members of his entourage allegedly assaulted Ne-Yo and/or a member of his entourage who is a friend of Jay-Z’s. The man was reportedly the brother of Jay-Z confidant Tyran ”Ty-Ty” Smith.
When asked about the incident last week, Jones told MTV.com, “I don’t wanna talk about that. Nah, we not doing that, let’s stop that right there. Let’s not do that. We above that.”
Jim Jones to talk about Assault on 5th ave
by YaDig Staff on Jan.05, 2009, under Entertainment

So our favorite chamapne popper Jim Jones spoke with the NYPD this morning (Jan 5) about an alleged altercation between himself and some of Jay-Z’s crew including Ne-Yo MTV is reporting…
The details of the event are sketchy at this point: Police believe Jones and/or members of his crew were involved in a physical altercation with Ne-Yo and/or one or more of his entourage at the Louis Vuitton store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. According to several blog reports, including MissInfo.tv, members of Jones’ entourage fought with an associate of Jay Z’s who works for Ne-Yo. That associate is said to be the brother of longtime Jay-Z friend and business colleague Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith. (Early reports said it was Ty Ty himself, but those were later refuted.)
This whole story is crazy. If its true what the hell is Jim Jones doing stomping out anybody in a Louis Vuitton Store. You have to have more class than that. You live in New York there are plenty of Ally’s you could have done this in.
