Voletta Wallace is Fed Up with Kim

by YaDig Staff on Jan.30, 2009, under Entertainment

Ms. Wallace is taking off the kid gloves when it comes to Lil Kim in a new interview with Hip Hop Weekly she has a few words for Kim

“Tell Lil Kim to go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life! This movie is not about Lil Kim. She felt we used her character to promote but this movie is about my son. … Lil Kim needs to go sit down.”

And Ms. Wallace had this to say about Lil Kim’s saying that Naturi Naughton was too dark..

”She felt the character we chose for her was ‘too dark.’ Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she’s a white woman trapped in a black woman’s body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil’ Kim’s words. She should be ashamed of herself.”

I am glad that Ms. Wallace spoke out against Kim.  Like we all have said this isnt a movie about Kim.  If you want your story seen or heard write a book or make your own movie.  But until then you and Charli Baltimore need to shut up and stop disrespecting yourselves and Biggie.

Lil Kim Changes Her Tune About Notorious After Seeing Movie…Ok Maybe Not

by YaDig Staff on Jan.23, 2009, under Entertainment

So Lil Kim finally seen Notorious and this is what she has to say about it

I feel like I was not portrayed how I should have been in this movie. I was in love with BIG and he was in love with me. I was never a JUMP-OFF, I know this and BIG knew this. I wasn’t even able to choose who I wanted to portray me in this movie. I would have never picked Naturi, she doesn’t have a Lil Kim aura at all! She looks nothing like I looked back then. We have NO similarities. Watching her on-screen was so “dreadful” as Simon Cowell would say. She is tasteless and talentless. Never once did she contact me for input or to get a feel of me for the character. A “TRUE” actress would contact the source to be the best they can be in portaying someone. That told me right there, she wasn’t right for the part and not to mention, Naturi has got to be one of THE worst actresses I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe they chose her. I really can’t!

Another thing is, I have been dealing with legal matters as far as them not wanting to pay me and sh*t for this movie, got a lawyer involved, so everything is cool with that, but it still doesn’t change my views and feelings. This is truly Faith and Ms. Wallace’s movie. And Ms. Wallace is right, this isn’t a Lil’ Kim movie and it’s not about me. I didn’t want it to be about me, I wanted it to be REAL though. And that it is NOT. I take no part in this movie and have nothing to do with it. I love BIG and will never stop reppin him. There is NOTHING anyone can do about it. The world will see the Lil Kim story, THE REAL ME! Not some made upbullshit portrayed by a talentless has-been back up singer

Ok enough with the shots at Naturi who made a bold move by taking this role.  And has said that she had reached out to Lil Kim about the role but Lil Kim like she has said didn’t want anything to do with the movie.  Now when I talked to people after the movie the men had no problem with Naturi’s performance as Lil Kim.  But 95% of women agreed with Necole Bitchie

I was disgusted for Kim after going to see the Notorious Movie. Forget painting her as a jump off, they painted her as a fast a– Hoe! Even if that was the case, there is no way I would have let them portray me in that manner on someone else’s life story. Unacceptable! And I was sick of seeing Naturi’s nipples in the movie.

I just thought it was women being women but they really didn’t think that all that nipple action was necessary.  I on the other hand enjoyed every nipple shot

“Notorious” Writer Talks Back/Lil Wayne Changes His Style?

by YaDig Staff on Jan.13, 2009, under Entertainment

One of the ‘Notorious’ writers Reggie Rock Bythewood, responded to the accusations from Lil Kim that most of the “story was bullsh*t” by saying that Lil Kim saw an early version of the script:

“When I was brought onto the project, I requested to speak with Kim,” Bythewood told MTV News on Saturday via e-mail. “Once I was granted access, I was blown away by the two-hour phone interview [we had]. She is a complex person. She is a sister with a lot of vulnerability and a lot of strength. Much of what she told me went directly into my next draft. Unfortunately, she was slipped a draft that was written before our conversation. She was angry at the producers and I did not get to speak with her again.”

Like we said in our review of the movie.  Naturi Naughton did an excellent job protraying Lil Kim.  You do get to see a sensitive side to her and feel sorry for her during the movie as well.  I think Lil Kim should see the movie before commenting on it anymore.

UPDATE

It seems that somebody else wants to talk about Lil Kim’s relationship with Biggie.  Charli Baltimore says that Lil Kim was never Biggie’s girl:
